Quarterly Filings: ST-100 Series / NYS-45 / Form-941
NYS businesses are required to collect and remit sales taxes. Even if a business does not make taxable sales during a reporting period, it is required to file a sales and use tax return by the due date. Depending on the amount of your taxable sales, you may be required to file annually or quarterly.
NYS employers are required to carry unemployment insurance for their employees. The employer pays this tax on behalf of the employee with funds going to the State Unemployment Fund. NYS-45, Quarterly Combined Withholding, Wage Reporting and Unemployment Insurance Return is used to file this return.
